About Hotel Du Vin Edinburgh

The Hotel du Vin & Bistro Edinburgh is a boutique hotel which was formerly an asylum and science lab, originally constructed in 1743.

With four variants of bedrooms and three variants of suites, all lavishly decorated with a nod to a classic look. All rooms have Egyptian linen, handsprung mattresses, air-con, plasma TVs and deep shower-baths.

The Hotel Du Vin’s two private rooms are available for to hire for functions such as weddings or meetings, all of which can be catered for to the guest’s specifics, the largest of which can accommodate a maximum of 36 people.

The Bistro Du Vin is a Gallic restaurant, influenced by both French and British cuisine, open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Alternatively the bar food offers pastries and snacks.

The hotel is right by the National Museum of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh as well as the large Holyrood Park and Edinburgh Castle.

Not only is the hotel pleasantly styled, it’s also in great condition Facilities and furnishings are either new or well-maintained Similarly many of the guests felt the hotel was clean and tidy courtesy of housekeeping.
