Aparthotel AMMI Nice Lafayette (Nice, France)

Lafayette is not a luxury hotel, but neither does it claim to be. Rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable and, while the breakfast choice is not vast, you may eat as much as you wish for a set price. For most guests, the hotel provides excellent value for money.

With the beach a short stroll away, the Old Town closer still, and a multitude of restaurants, cafes and bars within a few minutes walk, you will find yourself staying in a very central location at Lafayette.

For previous guests, what sets the hotel apart from its competitors are the team; with the front desk team praised most often. Reception staff are warm and friendly and always happy to suggest places to visit, drink or dine, store luggage or print maps.

With its location on the first floor, and no lift on the premises, some guests have been left struggling up two flights of stairs with heavy luggage and, while this may cause no issues for some, others will find this a near-impossible task.

The hotels central location does have one drawback: noise. Guests have complained of hearing passing traffic from rooms, with buses causing the most disturbance. Others have suggested that black-out blinds would be a good investment for the hotel.

The hotel is, apparently, undergoing a gradual refurbishment programme and many previous guests will be glad to hear it. There is some suggestion that rooms, while perfectly functional, are beginning to show signs of wear and could do with a lick of paint.
