Positive Reviews
positive:
Great location for exploring Sydney
With a position in the heart of Sydney's Central Business District, the location of the hotel was a highlight for previous guests in terms of getting around the city. Attractions such as the Sydney Tower Eye, St. Mary's Cathedral and Sydney Sea Life Aquarium are all within comfortable walking distance.
positive:
Welcoming and friendly staff
Despite some vocal comments stating otherwise, most former visitors were pleased with the level of service they received during their time at the accommodation. The staff members were seen as friendly and welcoming for the most part.
positive:
Free Wi-Fi provided
Although its quality was questioned at times, the majority of past guests were happy that Wi-Fi was supplied by the hotel at no additional cost. In general, the Wi-Fi's reliability was at an acceptable level.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hygiene levels far below standard
From dirty toilets to unclean cups, a notable amount of past visitors were critical about the cleanliness standards of the accommodation's rooms and bathrooms.
negative:
Spartan rooms lacking en-suite bathrooms
With reportedly no televisions, refrigerators or other useful amenities minus a bed, towels and kettle, the bare bones nature of the rooms was often condemned by former guests of the hotel. In addition, standard rooms do not contain any en-suite bathroom facilities - an understandable inconvenience.
negative:
Situated in a noisy area
Due to a central location in a lively area and a bar located on the ground floor, noise can supposedly prove to be an issue until late into the night at the accommodation. This noise was also supported by what was considered to be a lack of soundproofing.
