Hotel Engadina (Como, Italy)

Hotel Engadina is well located for a visit to Como. It's a short walk from San Giovanni train station, ideal when arriving from Germany and Switzerland and it's a ten-minute walk from Lago Nord Station with other convenient connections. The hotel is located near a handy 24-hour supermarket and a short walk from the old town area and Como's restaurants and shops and attractions, so you'll near everything. It's also walking distance from the lake, where you can catch a ferry and tour the lake. The location is great because it's close by transit, the lake and many attractions yet outside of the bustle of the main centre.

The hotel offers large, comfortable rooms with updated bathrooms that have good showers. The rooms are clean and functional and overall, the hotel is well maintained. This is a good, basic hotel that offers great value for a visit to Como.

Staff is both friendly and polite. They're helpful and quickly address any of your needs and help with issues you may have. Also, the breakfast service and quality is great; service is efficient and while the meal is simple, it's tasty and does the job. Worth noting, the coffee served is excellent and includes the option for cappuccinos and espressos.

The hotel is located on a main road with a great deal of traffic and can be quite noisy, especially if you want to keep your windows open for some fresh air. Request a room higher up or around back if you are concerned as they are quieter.

The Wi-Fi connection isn't very reliable at times.

The hotel entrance is somewhat concealed and difficult to find upon arrival.
