Hotel Novotel Sydney Darling Harbour (Sydney, Australia)

Located on Darling Harbor, Novotel Sydney Hotel offers some stunning views of the harbor as well as those of the Sydney skyline. The restaurant has recently undergone significant upgrades to the restaurant, bar, public areas, and foyer. Guests who have been here before report being impressed with the transformational changes.

Despite the huge popularity of Darling Harbor as a tourist destination, many guests reported that the check-ins and check-outs were surprisingly fast and not at all what you would expect in such a large hotel.

Australian National Maritime Museum is 400 meters from the hotel. Harbourside Shopping Center is just a three-minute walk away; Prymont Bay ferry stop is a five-minute walk from the hotel, Sydney Opera House 3.1km downtown.

Although the hotel has done a great job renovating the public spaces, the rooms need some upgrading too. Some guests reported that their rooms were showing their age, wallpaper peeling off, and generally looking sad.

Novotel Sydney Hotel has gone to great lengths to provide Wi-Fi and wired Internet in all the rooms and public areas. Guests have reported that while the Wi-Fi signal in common spaces is good, the signal in the rooms is weak.

Some guests have reported that while the hotel's staff is generally very professional, the front desk staff sometimes appears overwhelmed and can take long to resolve things like botched reservations.
