Welcome to the Cell Block! A refurbished 1960's Police Station/Jail located in the heart of the city of Whangarei..the doorway to the far north of NZ.We offer a relaxed unique experience ( who thought a jail could feel like this)..Any way, we are 100% sure that those travellers with a taste for something unique and different will find it at the Cell Block. Located in the city center some 300m away from the main bus stop but we also offer free pick up from Kiwi Experience and StrayTravel drop off (1.6km away). Most of our rooms are refurbished Jail cells.. offering 2 beds and a semi ensuite(basin and toilet) . There is also a mixed 4 bed dorm and female or male shared twin room. Open to the outside with a roof garden, offering a sunny and tropical place to relax during your stay... Check in 13:30 - 20:00 Check out 06:00 - 11:00 Children cannot be accommodated. There is no capacity for extra beds in the room.
