Review summary
Summarized by AI from 60+ reviews
The hotel offers a unique in-town experience, distinguished by its historic Georgian building dating back to 1814, which was once an old sugar warehouse. This charming character and quirky architecture provide a memorable backdrop for guests. Its central location is a significant draw, placing visitors at the heart of the city, ideal for business travelers seeking convenience, short-stay visitors needing a base before onward journeys, and ferry commuters due to its proximity to the terminal. While many appreciate the hotel's unique ambiance and the friendly staff, some guests have noted inconsistencies in room conditions and general upkeep. To ensure a comfortable stay, guests should be prepared for the hotel's historic architecture, which includes numerous stairs and no elevator, and it is advisable to manage expectations regarding the room conditions which can vary.
