Positive Reviews
positive:
Just five minutes from the airport.
What makes InterContinental Resort Tahiti a very convenient place to stay is its proximity to the airport. Just a short five minute drive away, you waste no time with transfers and won't miss your flight! It also makes the resort a great place to relax if you have a layover day on the island.
positive:
Beautiful lagoon, pool and surrounding gardens.
The grounds of this resort are stunning, lush green gardens with swaying palms dotted around in between the bungalows. There is a large sand bottom infinity pool with sun loungers by its side, and you can enjoy views of a crystal clear lagoon from many of the rooms.
positive:
Efficient check-in and excellent concierge.
Customer service here is as good as it gets, with quick check-in even at the busiest times. You can also get everything you need organized with the hotel concierge, whether it's a boat trip, island tour or souvenir shopping.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Hotel rooms are beginning to feel dated.
This resort looks fine from the outside, but inside of the rooms things are starting to slip a little. Furnishings and bathrooms have a dated feel and could do with minor renovations, although the new bungalows are fantastic.
negative:
Restaurant meals are pricey and not top quality.
The hotel restaurant here charges more than it should for the quality of the food it serves. The price of food and drinks is high enough to price some people out of enjoying a satisfying meal.
negative:
Intermittent internet access can be a pain.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided at the InterContinental Resort Tahiti, but with such large grounds the signal struggles to cover the entire premises. With Tahiti being a remote tropical island, the speed and connection is not terribly consistent either.
