    Bacons is situated in a lovely part of the New Forest and from the front gate you can walk straight onto the open heathland.There are many walks and cycle rides which are accessible from the cottage, without the need to drive. The original property is from the 17th century and was made of cob and the restored and extended in the 19th century. There is an original thatched building, built of cob- \'The Hovel\' in the grounds. The village of Frogham has good pub, The Forrester\'s Arm, and a village shop/garden centre with tea rooms; the shop sells mostly hardware items etc. Bacons looks over Hyde common with its village school and cricket pitch.
