Positive Reviews

Superb main square location

Reviewers loved staying in the vibrant and stunning heart of one of Europe's best-kept medieval city centres. Not only was Krakow's charming main square on the doorstep; but also there were dining options galore a short walk away to tempt foodies. Nearby, guests said they could experience pleasant markets and cafes plus horse-drawn carriages rides through the unspoilt old town. The surrounding area was reportedly pedestrian-friendly and guests also remarked that nightlife options were nearby too.

Friendly staff praised

Customer service standards were reportedly good. Many guests praised members of staff, describing them as professional, thoughtful and helpful.

Popular rooms with luxury touches

The beautiful views of the square and the Jacuzzi tubs in selected suites won plenty of praise from visitors, especially couples taking a city break. Guests of all kinds were impressed with the stylish and tasteful decor in the reportedly clean, comfortable and spacious suites. They also liked the way there was a chilled bottle of Italian Prosecco and fruit basket on arrival plus a minibar containing free soft drinks. Extras like bathrobes and deluxe toiletries were a luxurious touch for many guests.

Negative Reviews

Minor maintenance issues

There were occasional minor maintenance grumbles about dim lighting, hot water that took a while to warm up and weak water pressure in some rooms.

Noises an obstacle to sleep for some

Noisy air-conditioning and noise from adjacent rooms sometimes disturbed a few critics. One disadvantage of rooms facing the square for some light sleepers was that they could hear the Krakow bugler playing hourly day and night.

Mixed feelings over breakfast

Although the breakfast appealed to many travellers, it didn't live up to all guests' expectations. There were occasional reports of slow service. Moreover, the choice of five set menus was a bit limiting for some.
