Positive Reviews

Attractions are within easy walking distance

Many local attractions are located within easy walking distance of the property. Attractions such as the Queenstown Arts Centre, Queenstown Mall, Church of St Peters, Williams Cottage and Queenstown Beach can be reached within a ten to 15-minute walk. There is also a bus stop a few minutes’ walk away from the property.

Memorable stay

The hotel grounds offer a garden sun deck and guests took advantage of this to relax, enjoy the lake and mountain views as well as watching the sunset. Guests recommended having breakfast on the sun deck, which includes a choice of fruit, cereals, cold meats, muffins and croissants alongside freshly brewed coffee. The rooms themselves are well presented, clean and comfortable. Those with kitchen facilities commented that the kitchen were also clean and well equipped.

Professional and hospitable staff

The staff have been described as friendly and welcoming. Staff are also knowledgeable about the local area and the services offered and will be able to offer valuable advice on tour bookings and attractions to visit.

Negative Reviews

Some rooms are small

A variety of rooms are available, some of which are on the smaller side of the scale. The budget rooms in particular are basic and have shared rather than private bathroom facilities.

Steep walk into town

The walk into town and back up to the property is along a steep road. If you’re elderly or have mobility issues you may struggle to walk along this section of the road.

Dated furnishings

Some guests felt that the furnishings and decor were dated and recommended that the owners invest in upgrading this area.
