The hotel is located across the road from the Brisbane Exhibition and Entertainment Centre and the Queensland Performing Arts Complex and it was the proximity to these buildings (where significant events are held) which featured significantly in reviews about the hotel as being the best aspect of guest experience.

The views across the Brisbane city skyline especially at night were a hit with guests who commented that they were indeed stunning. Previous guests left hot tips for future visitors to request high floors so that they could take advantage of the views.

Previous travellers left comments about the generous size of the rooms which some thought were bigger than the average hotel rooms that they had stayed in.

Guests expressed their disappointment in reviews about the lack of toiletries which were provided by the hotel with guests surprised to not find shampoo and condition and shower soap provided.

A number of previous guests who stayed here had the unfortunate timing to stay at the hotel at the same time that it was undertaking renovations to a number of its common areas.
